About the Inner Circle

Founded in 1923, the Inner Circle is an organization of New York City journalists who put on an annual must-see musical political roast. Our leadership is all made up of working NYC journalists whose faces, voices, and bylines make up an essential part of the fabric of everyday life in the Big Apple.

The history of the Inner Circle is a reflection of the political history of New York City itself. See for yourself by perusing our program covers across the years.

She holds a B.A. in Afro and African American Studies from Brandeis University and an M.A. in Broadcast Journalism from University of Miami.

Samantha's career began as a copy editor and nightlife writer at Gotham magazine.
